The Basics on Economy and Happiness

You need to know how to how to run a stable economy and keep happiness up at the same time. When you start, pause the game and open the map overlay. Look at all of the crops (food and cash crops) as well as any mining/oil resources you have that can be used as a source of income! Cash crops include: sugar, coffee, and tobacco. The main crops include corn, bananas, papayas, and pineapples. Both of these use uneducated workers. My suggestion is to raise the budget to 50 in payment so they don't leave their positions. You can keep track of happiness (also homelessness) in the almanac.
